As for paying taxes..Glass houses for Black cab drivers or dont do what I do...so pay every penny of your taxes you naughty Uber drivers...at least they go south of the river

Its not the uber drivers that arent paying tax, its the company! But fair play for explaining!

One cannot assume that because one resides on the south coast these had to be Brighton supporters.

I am reliably informed that on the night of the Speroni testimonial there was a significantly large group of Palace supporters waiting for the train at Angmering station.

In my village alone I have met 5 Palace supporters and I have been told that one of the local pubs a small distance drive away is run by supporters of our club.

The police are not always right.
The referees are not always right.
Football Rivalries / Derby’s are a common occurrence and all part of the game and clubs and police manage to segregate them easily most of the time.
This game was badly managed by Bha and Sussex Police.
Luckily for them a few Palace lads let of some fireworks and some ticketless fans sneaked in. So they have an easy get out clause for the cock up they have made of the whole night.

Nothing "Lazy" about reading several reports of the actions of hoodlums and commenting accordingly.

As for "Miopic thinking",I have already advocated that if there is a case to answer concerning the Police this should be dealt with by the authorities and of course BHA are also in this category.

At the end of the day, genuine supporters who had paid hard earned money for tickets were denied entry due to the actions of a moronic minority.

There is if you accept that is the whole story... Clearly! There are always two sides to a story... But not for the gullable

It does rather sound like 10 minutes earlier and you'd have got in.

I got in as the game was starting... Probably 5mins earlier

Not a sniff of any trouble and as mentioned earlier by someone else didn't hear of anything happening until we were held behind.

Something clearly happened though as Michaela and others have said

You really must read what I have actually written.

I have made NO mention of people wearing black and stating that they were the HF. And I have made NO mention that everyone pushing through the turnstile was a hoodlum nor mentioning about closed turnstiles. Thanks for putting words into my mouth.

It has been well documented that so called "Fans" behaved in a disreputable manner and the consequences affected our genuine supporters.I certainly haven't made accusatory statements based on any so called "Flimsy evidence".If you believe this is media "Fake news" and there was no anti-social behaviour then that is your prerogative.

You'll have to give me some time to reply fully, but for now - a fake narrative is not fake news. Nor is it well-documented that, "so called fans behaved in a disreputable manner and that their consequences affected our genuine supporters" It's simply not. Anywhere.

Oh and to say, "..and there was no anti-social behaviour then that is your prerogative.' Here you go again, doing what you accuse others, putting words in my mouth - where have I said that?

And while I'm here, why the inverted commas around fans? Trite in the extreme.

A more detailed reply will follow but right now I have a plane to catch. Good night

Goodness me.

Rhetorical grandstanding is alive an well on HOL. Broadbrush accusatory statements and declamatory hogwash.

You might "Reply Fully" but rest assured, based on what I have perused from your good self I shall dismiss it forthwith and maybe will conclude that I won't dignify it with a response.

Where I have asserted this ?

In fact I have on numerous occasions stated that referees DO err from time to time so I shall dismiss your accusations as a work of fiction.

As for the Police I have stated that IF they have a case to answer then this should be dealt with by the relevant authorties for goodness sake !!!!

TBF his position on referees is that they make mistakes occasionally but that is OK. My view FWIW is that they make mistakes frequently and that is not OK.

I think he thinks the police make mistakes occasionally but that is OK. My view FWIW is that they make mistakes frequently and that is not OK. I also think a sizeable minority of polis are thick as pigs***.
