Why you trust people like that to "deal with it internally" confuses me completely.

I'm amazed that this police chief gets away with this s***e. "We confiscated knuckle dusters." "No, I never said that. It was someone else." "Oh, er, OK, it'll delete my tweet. Are you happy now?"
It's completely unprofessional. He's not even a good liar. How can anyone so incompetent be a chief inspector? What must the people below him be like?

As you will see at the start of this thread...i was told similar by the police after the game...it still doesn't absolve those trying to force their way in...but then who's to say they didnt have tickets ...it could've been that they simply didnt want to be searched as there was a long queue. It simply comes down to a shambles between Brighton and Sussex Police...blaming each other for the mess and those that didnt go swallowing what was reported verbatim rather than taking on board various personal accounts from those of us that went and were there.
