It's funny we call ourselves a democracy with an un elected head of state. Sounds a bit hypocritical.

We aren't the only country to do so as even the country in which you reside has the same political system.

It's 2017 soon to be 18, and we still have a family who expect you to kneel or curtsy when meeting them, but worse than that, we have a a good majority of the British public who don't mind doing that, and think its acceptable or even normal.

One might ask who are you to criticize if the majority of the people find it acceptable

Apart from the ridiculous amount of private land they and their extended family own across the uk, which if some of it were built on would certainly help the housing crisis, they are not a bad bunch really even if they do take the p1ss with our benefits system too.

What is the point of Prince Andrew and Edward though the posh scroungers? And that bloke who only turns up at Wimbledon to earn his benefits crust?

They need reforming.

And if they didn't own it, an Arab probably would. Do you fancy Cornwall being owned by the Saudis?

Blimey, you and I agree 100% on this Park Road.

Just step back for one moment and think about what it says about us as a country that we address a group of people as Your Royal "Highness"...

There are financial benefits from tourism and masses of financial minuses from having a royal family but personally I'd rather we got away from an international perception of being a ruritanian theme park with a PR managed "soap opera" royal family....yuk.

But in all honesty, if you have been around enough countries you know that Britain is a bit dull. We need something unusual to make us interesting. History is our best thing and the Royals are living history. Apart from that I couldn't give a monkeys about them.

Just because other countries have the same system doesn't make it right. Two wrongs and all that...

As for who am I? On here I'm park road and I can criticize who ever I damn like majority or minority.

You talk about democracy but look at the people we get, look at parliament today, I wouldn't choose that

I'm no Royalist by a long chalk, but I saw an interesting statistic the other day that said It cost the average person in the UK just 62p a day to support the Royal Family insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Compare that to the 140 Quid you HAVE to pay (No Choice there) for the BBC.

62p a day = £226 a year.

The BBC give a helluvalot more entertainment for their £140. But only since Diana was squashed into flatpack tbf.
