Good point. Would have taken that before the game. We’ve made ourselves hard to beat which is crucial in building momentum and staying up. Back to back away clean sheets is very encouraging. Getting off the bottom of the table will give the players a massive boost. Lack of goals is a worry but we’re scoring at home so not massively concerned. I agree with others that we are less creative with Benteke. The long ball to him is the easy way out and easier to defend. I’d fancy our chances against Bournemouth and if we win that we’re right back in the mix. How was Pardews reception from the Palace fans today?

We were hard to beat because Ward and Mama put themselves in harms way every time, that and their strikers cant hit the side of a barn.

Sorry to disagree, we do not even have a first team let alone a squad! we have a team of sick notes and a striker who cost a fortune and can't score, unless we start scoring we are doomed! My point is “the beginnings”. A year or so ago we had Ward playing out of position, Kelly getting roasted for having to play out of position, no centre halves fit and so on. At least today we had cover in each key position.....at the last minute. Small acorns and all that. No Cabaye but Jimmy to step up. We need another striking option, start scoring and all will be fine

Bournemouth in recent matches don't concede much away from home.If we go behind we will be in the mire.

Banana skin alert. Bournemouth is crucial. If we win it will cement the revival and keep momentum going. They can play but if we stifle and grind it out, it'll be massive. COYP

So we are a long way from definitely missing penaties. But if you want to continue wallowing in negativity feel free.
