RLC being picked is great for Palace, Would love to have signed him and it could still happen but it was always going to be a bit of a stretch. Players now know that by coming to us they can still be picked for major tournaments, psychologically thats a huge shift. It will really help us attract players

While circumstances can change, Jimmy Mc has made it clear he has two years on his contract and he intends on being here next season

That's the end of the so-called curse of the number 8 shirt. Well done, RLC, you've given me a reason to watch this summer. Overall, as good an England squad as one might hope for. Now, about those penalties...

I know he is no longer our player, but really delighted for him and totally deserves his call up. The last few games in particular he was outstanding. Would love to have him at Palace next season, but I think we all know the reality is that ain’t going to happen! I will of course be cheering him on....

We’ll done on being picked and it may well harm our chances of getting him, but on the other hand Hazard calling for big money signings otherwise he’s off could push rlc down the pecking order again and help with at least another seasons loan.

Yep, that would be ideal. Gives us a great player for the season and he gets game time to keep him in the public domain.

As if CPFC or RLC did not think the latter would go to Russia! His price will go up for sure but that was expected. But there are so many variables. Who is going to manage CFC next is the biggest one. Will he favour RLC and vice versa? Does RLC want regular first XI play which World Cup or not is hardly guaranteed at Chelsea. What does RLC want himself - do you know? I don’t. One other point for now - writing as an Eagle - does RLC want to be with a developing vibrant club with a new stadium and raucous fans (even Mourhino was jealous!) or stay with a club on a slow slide? Don’t discount a permanent move yet.
