It’s been actual l starting to sound positive...

Potentially he could agree another loan season and that might suit him and Chelsea. He gets a season of football and Chelsea don’t have to rush him in to the first team before they think he’s ready.

Only place I can imagine he’d want to go is Palace after such a break through season with us. Why rock the boat other than to go back to Chelsea...

Alternatively we make Chesea a £25m+ offer they can’t refuse... ?

Let’s hope he doesn’t tear the World Cup alight....

Much as I would like to see him come here on a permanent deal, I just can’t see it.
He will end up a star after the World Cup, Chelsea will want at least £50m, based on age and potential. We aren’t buying at that level, neither are Newcastle. Potential destinations are Spurs or Arsenal.
Hard as it is to take, we were a stepping stone for him to bigger things.

Sad but probably correct.

If that is the case, which it probably is, I just hope Parish & co. have already identified this and aren’t hedging their bets of a turning in the tide last minute and looking to throw everything at it in the last week. A bit like Sakho. I say the word “hope” hopefully but it would be oh so Palace & Parish like to be going down that exact road.

If he is out of reach we need to accept that and move on early doors (now would be a good time) and the scouting department need to start earning their salt. If there’s one thing that world football certainly isn’t lacking, it’s young & talented creative midfielders. Surely we can identify something beyond the realms of “only know he’s worth it cos we had him on loan”. There were plenty of Palace fans who could tell you the day we got Loftus Cheek that he was a very good young player.

We're the Arthur over ere!

I agree.....

THO, the chances of SP/RH letting us fans know their targets or non targets are at best, slim to none. The glorious HOL/Transfer Talk will be the frenzy it normally with all sorts of rumours & counter claims every week/day/hour even minute. All of which will be so wide of the mark it'll be as funny as it alwasys has been.

The majority of threads started in Transfer Talk are discussing rumours in the media so blame them not us for discussing them

Well I'm not really getting the big fuss over RLC

Agreed that where he is being played at the moment maybe doesn't play to his strengths. And perhaps that's why I think he flatters to deceive - I don't think his end product is all that. Obviously that will improve with experience, but at the moment I think we are in greater need of a more rounded player at Prem level.

I also don't think he has a great 'engine ' - without the ball he doesn't contribute as much as he could. He seems to be too top heavy physically.
So Cheeky aint much cop? At least the rest of the football world think differently. But at least we have an expert among us, lol
He may be taking one for the team at the moment and playing out of position and clearly Roy thinks he's the best man for that job.

Anyway, I fully expect to be slated for my opinion, bring it on...

Let's face it Chelsea will be mad not to play L-C and make him their centre point. I cannot remember such a style of play since Pele. Will he reach the same level of performance....well we can at least say he learned lots at Palace.

Really? He’s a very good young prospect but Pele?

It's a wind up. Pele scores a hat trick in the WC aged 17/18

RLC is 22 and was, probably, the 4th best player on a mid table team last season
