I think you miss the point, deliberately or otherwise, which is that it is unfair, undemocratic and unjust to blame all Muslims and Islam, for the failings of some people - especially when we don't use the same focus on ethnicity or religion, for similar offences.

Those who commit these acts are scum of the highest order - Tarring normal law abiding citizens by association is brutally unfair.

He makes a perfectly valid point. I'm not really seeing how your post relates to his that much.

Er no. I don't miss much.

Constantly telling people that most Muslims are peaceful is condescending and not helpful when two of them have just been charged with a plot to kill the Prime Minister just to add to the ever growing list of terrorism committed by British Muslims.
I'm not concerned with the rest of them any more than I was concerned with the Irish when the IRA were killing us. Of course, they were all Irish Catholics or should we keep that quiet as well?

How many terrorists are not Muslims in Britain the last decade?

And how many mass organised gang rapes involving dozens of victims in multiple towns do you know of in Britain?

You're absolutely correct, but its not about criticizing people mate, its about critizing idealogy and ideas. Salafism can not be tolerated in the west.

There are over three million Muslims in Britain. How many were here in 1960? How many will be here by 2050?

In 2010 the percentage of Muslims as part of the UK population was 4%. It is estimated that, via current trends, in 2020 the percentage will also be 4%.

No increase in percentage terms, though numbers will rise roughly in line with increases in the UK population. Beyond is more difficult to predict, but if trends continue 4% of the UK population would be a reasonable assumption.

Where did those stats come from?
The vast majority of population increase is down to immigration and higher birth rates among immigrants.

The vast majority of immigrants are not Muslim

So you'd agree, then; immigration is unlikely to cause a large increase in the Muslim population, therefore it is perfectly possible that the future percentage of Muslim population in the UK may remain at roughly 4%?

Here's some Pew research that predicts that by 2050, the Muslim population in the UK will be at 17%.

So if the vast majority of immigrants are not Muslim, then we can infer from your statement that increases in the Muslim population in the UK would be caused mainly by a much higher birthrate among Muslims than both the general UK population and other immigrants to the UK?

That doesn't make sense or have any relation to reality but, if we say for a moment that it's true, it would take many decades of higher birthrate among Muslim families than the rest of the general population for any significant percentage increase in the Muslim population; I'm sure you can see that?
