He wouldnt come here, he probably thinks he’s too good for palace, as most arsenal players are arrogant and overrated!

What a throwaway statement, he seems like the least arrogant player around

Why would everton, southampton, west ham not want him?

why would ac milan, roma or atletico madrid not want him?

surely he's out of Palace's level. Don;t get me wrong, I'd surely want Walcott in my team, as I think he is a great player and the treatment he gets from fans and manager alike in Arsenal is bewildering for a guy who scored and assisted much more than that weakling Ozil. He should have been out of there 2 years ago, when Wenger first ignored him in order to play the likes of Iwobi, though he was the best in the squad. He didn't even leave in the summer, which is beyond bewildering!! Now it's late for him, but he will still go to a good team.

He'll prove everyone who he is or he'll end up like Lennon (one of the 2)

I did say 'IF'

And its very possible too, I mean, no one else showed true interest in Benteke really when we signed him from Liverpool, any bigger club than us or from Europe could've snagged him first, but we apparently pay higher wages than the clubs of our stature to key players needed in order to help us improve.

Its very plausible none or all of them will want him as badly as us.

We are mulling over bollox here really aren't we? any of the two outcomes is highly realistic when you think about it on this one.

Anyway, Oxlade-Chamberlain went for 35m, Walcott unless he has less years on his contract will go for the same price if not more surely.

we wont pay 35m out for a positional player we don't desp require. and he aint no natural striker so, I highly doubt palace will even be interested.

Southampton and Everton yes. Surprised you rank Stoke above us?

Anyway, suspect he will go back to Saints... if they want him back. Otherwise, unless West Ham have a meteoric renaissance over the next few weeks and assuming we maintain current form, we have a slim chance if we offer the money.

Would be one heck of a window if we also get Trapp.

I kinda don't, its only cos they've been in the prem longer...They have players of the ilk of Bojan who don't even make the team often, so they've got a good premiership squad that palace so crave. (we have a decent first team but not squad)

that goes I guess with the extra few years of prem money they've had.

Has he ever scored a decisive goal, or is it always the 2nd / 3rd goal buffer as it seems?

He has scored and assisted the most from all Arsenal players divided on the minutes they were given. Especially in important Champions League games where players are required to run. You could name Ozil as the one who only does it against low level teams, but not Walcott. He's especially good against tough opponents.

Take only the last 3 years and only the most important competitions (PL, European football, no Cup matches unless against PL team):
Walcott has scored and assisted 47 times in 5400 minutes (and the further you go into the past, his average remains similar)
Alexis Sanchez has 107 goals and assists in 12.100 minutes (disregarding his 4 penalty goals)
Ozil has 70 goals and assists in total in 10.400 minutes

The 3 have played in similar positions, behind the striker or as side midfielders. Walcott has at times played as center forward (few times).

You can obviously see that Wlacott has been good on his word, but Ozil has lacked tremendously.
Yes, Walcott and Ozil are different types of players and Ozil's passing is much better than Walcott's, he opens up the attacks in a way Walcott could never do.

However, it is also a fact that since Ozil became first choice Arsenal has failed to be a top 4 club and to go further than the last 16 in the Champions League, while in the previous years, when Walcott was a starter, Arsenal was a much better club.

Arsenal fans think Wlacott is s***e, they want him off the team and would gladly sell him. In my opinion, he doesn't deserve that treatment and Arsenal doesn't deserve him. He's one of the best wingers in modern football. He has his flaws, as he's not very talented, but he compensates with speed and with his finishing. I'd rather have him in my team than Ozil any day.

Wenger has never been very fond of Walcott, but was forced to field him back in the day because Walcott was just that good. He was pretty much always subbed and he should have known that Wenger will not use him after the Ozil and Sanchez signings. His agent advised him to stay, he made that decision and forced himself into the squad last year with many goals and assists in the beginning of the year. This year, however, he hasn't even been given chances.
He should have been out of there a long time ago. One of the most underappreciated players I've seen by his own club

Well I believe that’s the problem arsenal fc have, is arrogance. So many players go there and think they are the bollocks before they have even achieved anything. So I stand by my ‘throwaway’ statement.

The fans are arrogant, not sure about the rest, Walcott rightly mentioned by someone else, comes across very level headed.

Arsenal fans just cant understand why they don't win the league every year, but they achieve over achieve imo.

They do not have the money Chelski, Utd or City have, that's fact. So on monetary terms 4th is the best they should hope for. But they regularly finish 2nd/3rd/ 4th, hardly ever much lower, so in terms of financial income compared to their other big brothers, they do very well indeed.

The fans are stuck in the last era where money wasn't quite as barmy as it is today.

I actually question the gifted, he is ok don't get me wrong but took Arsenal to ransom on his new contract when they let van Persie go away. In any case he plays in the same position as Wilf, who I genuinely think is a better player. He also is not a goalscorer, needs about 5 chances before knocking one in.
We also should be careful getting players in at over a 100 grand a week. So saying "we would be mad to not go for him" I think is a bit of an overstatement.

Why on Earth would Walcott come to Palace? He's a very famous and gifted player, not our level

Mattteo comes up with some absolute belters. He is consistent at least.
