The drop ball decision was bizarre. He dropped the ball then went mad when Luka had the temerity to actually play on.
Both pens are pens and the second one please stop with this got the ball s***. His studs may have scratched the ball, but he went through the player to do it. Clearest penalty of the two and remember it only has to impede you. It's only refs that insist it has to bring you crashing down in order for it to be given.
Ake got the ball, but went right through Benteke to get it. We scored from that corner, but that challenge was reckless IMO. Ake had a great game though tbf and Begovic proved we really should have gone for him.

Yep.

Liverpool's first goal at Crystanbul was in the same vein. Joe Allen got free because his marker was getting mugged.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

I am helpless with laughter.

We are always complaining about refs and usually blaming them for our failings ... but now along comes one who not only gives us a penalty but adds a bonus one at the end.

Yet still he is panned for some dubious decisions.

In the immortal words of the(almost)legendary, Kammie: unbelievable!

Could not agree more! And a rule change as in: touching the ball after the opponent gets a free kick is an immediate yellow, as is blocking the ball off and preventing it to be taken quickly. This has been long overdue I think.

And oh yes Kevin Friend, you idiot unfit for Sunday league games: stop worrying about a few yards, you are rewarding the fouls by insisting it is taken exactly at the spot of the foul.

Refs should be told to let quick free kicks be taken. If fouls are committed it's often to take momentum away from the other team and get things level on the pitch again so they're not vulnerable. Refs are helping them by delaying free kicks. You also see refs uncomfortable pulling free kicks back for top teams v small clubs but it's okay when it's smaller teams for them to do it and ruining the game. It stinks.

I agree with most of the law changes suggested as they would have tipped the game further in our favour but does any one understand that while we received five yellow cards they only received two?
Ps Wilf was fouled both times with Begovic's hands grabbing and impeding him.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

I've just looked at Bournemouth's first goal again and I'm not laughing. They sold the officials an absolute pup. The only reason Defoe is unmarked in the box is because King has literally wrestled Schlupp away from him. Three officials and none of them see it.

Not only is it no goal, it's also a deliberate and cynical foul designed specifically to get an advantage. Yellow card. Preposterous.

The ref actually had a stinker,as did the lino on the main stand side of the pitch.
The corner Bournemouth scored from should have been a goal kick which the lino gave incorrectly, and the ref missed a pretty obvious foul on Schlupp as the goal was scored.
Wilf was clipped at speed on each of the penalty calls, and I don't think even he can defy gravity.

Ours were all certainly justified; all of the professional category to stop a quick break, save Wilf's which was for reacting to Cook's outrageous full-stretch trip to stop Wilf being off to the races.

Both of Bournemouth's Cooks engaged in this constantly through the match, though, and received one yellow between them (the aforementioned trip on Wilf). Their other yellow went to Begovich for his foul for the first penalty. There were multiple yellow-card fouls that were let go, many early on but still continuing to the end. The 14-14 foul count but 5-2 card count just goes to show the leniency with which they were handled by Friend.

The ref didn't see it at all. Neither did his assistants.

King knew from the training ground where the ball was coming and he knew Schlupp would clear it or block the shot if he got away from him. So he grabbed him and yanked him away from that area. He probably knew fine well that the ref was unlikely to be looking at him at that moment.

Such things should be referred to the Ministry for F***ing Cheats.

Are you the new Willo now?

That was not a ref, that was an idiot, completely incapable of being in charge of any football game!
