Oh sorry do we not include penalties on a players scoring record anymore?

How stupid of me to include penalties... There was me thinking they still needed to be scored (something our centre forward struggles with) and that they count as goals.

It's not fair to count penalty goals because not all strikers take penalties. And it's not 29 goals excluding penalties....not unless you count the Exeter City in the League Cup or his MLS goals

Hahaha I think you've picked the worst set of fans to have the 'penalties don't count' argument with. We're all very upset our £30 million striker hasn't got a '1' next to his goals scored tally this season, penalty or not!

Err it's not really the same thing though is it? You can't just pick and chose which goals count and which one's don't. A goal against lesser opposition does not make it any less valid. Messi and Ronaldo have scored plenty of goals against teams that are not in the top division, does that mean their records are less valid.
