Yes I believe he will.

An opening goal from him in the opening minutes and the antipathy against him will disappear.
Maybe he wil be a hero tonight.

Couple of goals tonight would pretty much balance it out. But booing him seems a bit harsh - hardly going to help his confidence is it.

John Oster was charged with rape, and no one boo'ed him, but you miss an important penalty...

Poor f**kers had a terrible seasons so far. He's not scored, he's been injured, spammed a penalty - but actually has been playing pretty well since he came back.

Seems a bit wrong to boo your own player, for one mistake. Especially as he had a good game.

Key word being charged.

There are several sexual assault claims against footballers and some of them are subject to terrible abuse even when proved innocent (Robin Van Persie for example).

I don't see the correlation between that and being a selfish git and taking a penalty. I'd still rather have Benteke over for tea than Adam Johnson.

In the Silva thread you think we're going to get beat.

I'm unsure.

I can't see any point in that. He will know now that he screwed up big time and hopefully we'll see a reaction in terms of his effort and determination to score.

IF he scores he needs to run to the fans and celebrate with them properly. If he runs over standing there with an arrogant p*ick attitude , like Henry did a few times , someone should run on the pitch , clothes line and choke him out. They should then win the ‘half time draw’ for doing it , is it still a trip to la manga. ?

I've never booed a Palace player and I'm not going to start now. I expect a few might boo but it really isn't going to help anyone.

We can't underestimate how important that missed penalty will be for our whole season.

If Milo takes it we score that penalty not only do we get 3 points but we go in to the next game with confidence high and more likely to pick up points. In additional, all the players and fans wouldn't have bad blood towards Benteke which will inevitably affect chemistry and performances.

Instead we're 1-0 down and bottom of the table with no-one liking Benteke a morale low.

The future's bright, the future's Palace.
