I feel sorry for Roy having to deal with this mess.

Nobody to come in because of these kind of things and injuries.

Oh and us having to struggle to get to january with a good enough chance to invest to survive, whether that's wisely or overpriced stop gaps.

It was quite a mistake but he apologized and should have a chance to move on and improve.

I remember the Southampton game last year when Fraser Forster whiffed on a routine kick and the ball dribbled over to Benteke for an easy goal. Afterwards Benteke actually embraced Forster which I thought was a classy gesture.

But there needs to be a proper captain on the pitch. I don't know if Sakho would have handled the situation but he's gone for a while now. There has to be some sensible guy out there the players respect and pay attention to.

To answer the question - yes he can. By scoring the goals that you may reasonably expect from a £100k+ per week striker.

Will he though ? Again yes, if he shows that he's got a lot more character than I've seen from him to date.

No matter what a dopey cnut he was on Saturday the worse thing we could do tonight is to slag the bloke off. It would only go against the team. Move on and get behind the guy. All he needs is a song!

If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong

Start doing his job for longer than 89 mins then.

I think that instead of getting on his back, he made a mistake, sure I was mad at the time but the way people reacted is shocking, he didn’t miss on purpose, he was trying to score. My point anyways is that tonight, he may be expecting boo’s and complaints, however we should celebrate his name, he is our only striker and we are better than other fans who berate a player because of mistakes......come on...we are better than those man utd/arsenal fans. We should be supporting everyone that puts on a palace shirt. Give him the confidence he is clearly lacking.

He was already useless before Saturday. No goals this season for a £32m striker? Miss after miss of every goal chance that comes his way? I knew he would miss when Wilf put him clear, just as I knew he would miss the pen. It's a waste of time and energy hoping he will improve.

The stick he got was on the day was heat of the moment now we have had time to cool down and move on. Support the team and CB, he has apologized to his team-mates that will do for me.
