Hi folks Hope all is well! I have the mis-fortune of having to work christmas day, however in all fairness due to unfortunate circumstances don't have any real plans anyway. I have however been invited up to Scotland to join in celebrations with my recently extended family, so had hoped to get a flight or a train up straight after work. From what I can see though there is absolutely nothing running, no flights/virgin trains, nada. Has anyone done this journey christmas day or if not recommend a viable option? Many thanks!

As far as I can see you will need to over-night in Sussex, before flying up (bus to Gatwick - or parking) to Scotland. I leave you to check for what is available on Boxing Day.

I generally find that if I go to England on Christmas Eve I'm stuck there for quite a while. Edited by chateauferret (11 Dec 2017 5.34pm)
