These gangs offer vulnerable children money/drugs/gifts. The rich up and down the country offer young girls the same, on a bigger scale and the rise of social media has made it easier. Recently, there was the news article about instagrammers being offered thousands for sex. Those in power need to create a world were young, and vulnerable desire all the materialistic crap they can offer because that's their tool for exploitation. That's why they don't care if a few Asian gangs do it on a smaller scale. It starts a diversionary argument about race, so they can go on exploiting everyone.

I'd say you're pretty accurate. However exploitation is a vice of human nature that comes in many different forms and degrees. Regardless of what happens or doesn't happen this vice isn't going to retreat. If hammered down in one area it will simply focus upon another. As for a path forward I simply don't see one working that's based upon, 'lets all put our differences aside'. I use to believe that was possible because that was the idealistic message I was sold.... but as I've come to understand human nature better I know that it's a very European centric way of viewing the world. Most of the world is tribal....What you are going to get is this fact of life becoming more demanding not less. Identity politics is the inevitable result of multiculturalism. Apparently if you're white then that's seen as a negative.....It's all 'identity politics for me, but not for thee'.
