Who is "surrendering"? We aren't under attack. Society is evolving, and only those who are incapable of adaptation see that as a threat that must be resisted. Such people are modern day Luddites.

Chicken Tikka Masala is the most popular dish in the UK. Period. Not just take away!

As every human being is 99.9% genetically identical to any other, any changes are miniscule. What you object to is not genetics. It is culture and, let's be honest, skin colour. The culture will gradually assimilate. Skin colour just stops being noticed.

we got Trump and Brexit because of associated, but different, reasons. Trump because a large section of the US population grew tired of constant wars and being the world's policemen. The "anything must be better than this" motivation grew powerfully in the "white" working underclass, supported by other groups, such as the Evangelicals. Brexit because of tiredness in our working class of feeling ignored, aided by clumsiness by Cameron.

Getting rid of Trump was a totally understandable imperative. No-one co-ordinated the effort, but enough sections of society were of the same opinion, including ultimately the electorate, that it succeeded.

I'd say that my heritage going back thousands of years is under attack, as well as the culture That I was happy to be surrounded by.

The difference between humans is irrelevant. The figure you quote is irrelevant. Chimps are only 2% different to us. Worms aren't much more. This is all typical feeble Wisbech waffle designed to avoid what is clear and obvious.

You really make yourself look a tit when you mention skin colour. Skin colour is happenstance. You can get a different skin colour by sun bathing.
You might have noticed that immigrants come in many shades, and some of those shades come here and blend in with no bother. Others are at the centre of many of our troubles.
I doubt that their skin colour has any bearing on that.

This kind of stupid reductive argument is why you get so much stick on these boards.

I think a Chicken Tikki Masala is a good term to describe people like you.

Answers to a different question but nonetheless, you are 100% correct.

Why do you suddenly think I have something against people who went to Eton? All I said was I’d more likely have more in common with someone from Newham than someone from Eton.

This is all true, but we don't have to accept it.

Capitalism should serve the people, or it has failed. Most profit is made by the those at the top of the food chain. That would be OK if the price was not the destruction of society and control of thought via the media.
These things are not acceptable.

The bigger picture is that only countries that close their borders will survive the breakdown of society thought climate change and over population. As an island, Britain is well placed to protect itself if the fools who govern us took the right path.

Has capitalism ever truly served the people though? It just seeks to create a situation that keeps the hamsters in their wheel. Take the first time buyer situation now. For those in their 20s and 30s they're either locked into a life of desperately trying to get on the housing ladder, or are handing a chunk of their earnings for life to landlords ( disproportionately represented in Parliament). None of these politicians care about demographics of areas they don't live in, or climate issues - just their bottom line.

If it wasn't these issues it would be something else bringing about the same problems, because anything that gets in the way of the powerfuls financials will soon be getting out of the way. Ordinary people, which of course also includes people of colours and creeds from elsewhere (which would can accept regarding of our view of immigration) are simply pawns in the game with little real power or influence over anything.

The whole theory fails though as the financials employ non financials to do their dirty work who then become financials who employ non financials to do their dirty work who then become financials who employ etc etc and the wheel keeps turning. Capitalism is just that, it goes on and on. Sharing the wealth is the other option.
Which do you prefer. Metaphorically you not necessarily you. I know which I prefer. To be the pawn all day long.

When capitalism allows the vast majority to live in comfort and security, then it is succeeding. Financial equality for all is not an option.
When it destroys the very fabric of the society it is intended to serve, then it has a big problem.

We are all the victims and the beneficiaries of capitalism.
