If you say so, although this response does cause me to wonder if having difficulty in understanding the correct meaning of words is a trait of the extreme right. You struggled recently with democracy, didn't you?

If though giving an account of someone else's recovery from a terrible situation and why apparent scumbags should be written off, let alone "put down", means I am narcissistic, then I am. I though think setting it in its context, and its impact on me, merely frames the story.

Interesting to that you take the time to pass comment on me, but completely ignore the original comment about somebody deserving to be "put down"! Quite informative about where your priorities lie.

I now anticipate a bucket load of incoming "whataboutism".

I have bias, I openly state what they are. Outside of hypocrisy I don't pretend that my biases are somehow objectively any more ethical than anyone else's.

I don't lie or fool myself and present myself as an egalitarian, when I only believe in half its values. I don't lie or fool myself and present myself as a social liberal....having more respect for its classical form.

When someone presents themselves as having ethics I look to see if their behaviour actually incurs a cost to them before I believe it.

Otherwise it's virtue signalling.....the boring crumb trail of narcissism. It's more often the reality of most 'I'm a good person' narratives.

However, if the end result has genuinely benefited someone else it's the better half of a double edged sword.

Being called 'extreme right' when my views, on immigration and borders are little different to that expressed by the Dalai Lama just shows how ridiculous some people are.

They might not agree, which is one thing but they demonstrate a very poor and demonised understanding of the positions of people who point out the issues with their ideas.

I was a teacher for years, which in part was educating minorities and foreigners....plenty of whom I helped along the way. You would think that some nuance would be applied instead of the usual 'you're extreme' or 'you haven't travelled enough'....when I actually have quite a bit.

Then again seeing where the source comes from I shouldn't have cause to complain.

We are all victims of the great globalist wealth creation scheme.
They use useful idiots in all walks of life, particularly the media, to perpetuate the big lie.

Their best trick is to present all resistance as racism.

Yep, it's the modern age's version of witch hunting.....we have an ocean of indoctrinated who think they are Matthew Hopkins (those who know know).

They think they are left wing when in reality they are just establishment pawns of the powerful, both state and corporate.

And the right who voted in corrupt corporate leaders like Bolsonaro, Johnson, Trump, Putin and Orban etc, never push for any kind of corporate regulation on oil, arms sales, finance etc, never push for raises in the minimum wage or anything that would give people more economic freedom... all while parroting tabloid narratives pushed by billionaire media moguls are the purveyors of the anti-establishment... right... got it...

The powers that be have been trying divide and conquer since the dawn of time and the right wing have been eating at that trough like good little piggies for just as long.

To an extent I'd agree with you.

I think both the right and left are victims of the same global cartels.....whatever left/right/neo liberal favour it is.....Different stories exist for different leaders....I wouldn't call Orban as guilty as Johnson for example.

My observation was more towards those on the left who don't understand that the system is run for the wealthy and not them.....waving alphabet flags and mouthing egalitarian words doesn't change that....though it's certainly changed the left.

Disgusting - how someone who happily admits their morals go out the window for a bit of money calls anyone else scummy, I don't know.

Incase you didn't know my morals went south years ago.
When I was made redundant, repossessed and had three visits to the social for a £20 crisis loan for me Mrs and chav so don't lecture me on morals my old fruit.

Yep, you see what nonsense is publicised today over what people should and shouldn't say and you shake your head.

It's usually entitled silver spooners like Ramsey's daughter complaining because some media mouthpiece called her chunky or something....which she is.

It's nothing.....pure snowflakey when compared to the stress a family goes through under repossession and severe money troubles, ptsd from Military/Police/emergency and so on services.

That's real mental health right there.....not the first world problems that numpties have when someone essentially criticises them....but no one seems to give a feck about real stress because it doesn't involve a celebrity or well to do.

If that's how you justify it to yourself, that's entirely up to you.

What exactly do you expect people to be worried about and do, so as to make them so morally rich.

I would have expected that experience to have had the opposite effect to the one it appears to have done. I would have thought you might have now had more sympathy for those down on their luck, or otherwise disadvantaged, than you routinely show. Instead, it seems to have hardened your attitudes rather than soften them.

I watched the "Pride of Britain" award show on ITV this evening. Such shows normally pass me by. Watching luvvies gush to each other is not something I enjoy. This though, featured ordinary people doing extraordinary things and was genuinely inspiring.

Such a refreshing contrast to some of the attitudes to be found here. One young man, a Syrian refugee and a Muslim, especially so.

If you didn't see it, then do try to on "catch-up".
