He has declared he is bankrupt but his creditors suspect that he may be hiding his assets. Well that wouldn't surprise me lots of people do some of whom I have Known and it is wrong and criminal.

What does concern me is that charity Hope Not Hate is funding an insolvency expert to investigate his finances. I do not consider that ethical use of charitable status.

He has other creditors including HMRC surely it is up to them to pursue any monies owed.

Hope Not Hate should focus on what their charitable work.

They have until March 1st to find any.
Personally he's only doing what many bankrupts do.
Squirrel it away until the last possible moment.
He divorced his Mrs just before being made bankrupt and her name is on the mortgage. Tactical move I say

Why is a left wing organisation employing independent insolvency experts and acting as the HMRC?

This organisation should be defending working class girls in Telford.

They are an activist tool of the establishment.

It seems that Hope Not Hate are rather hateful.

Not really a surprise, is it.

Just another vehicle to undermine British society and replace it.

Not part of its mission. Its website states "At HOPE not hate, our mission is to work tirelessly to expose and oppose far-right extremism."

So as they are hope not hate, do they oppose far left or Islamic extremism?

It seems they regard making sure Yaxley Lennon meets his obligation to pay the costs of the Syrian refugee he libelled as a legitimate part of their mission. Which is defined as "At HOPE not hate, our mission is to work tirelessly to expose and oppose far-right extremism." They are asking for donations to help fund the costs of doing this.

Whether it is an ethical use of charitable status is something the Charity Commission will no doubt have a view on.

Seemingly not. According to their mission statement their focus is on the far right.

Robinson lost his libel case so I would say mission accomplished for the charity.

Taking the lead in going after his money seems vindictive. They were not not the aggrieved party in the lawsuit but chose to fund the legal case for the young man and are entitled to recover their costs but it is the optics which do not look good.

The taxman is a big boy and should take point in investigating if Robinson is hiding any money if he is by default they would get their funds back.

I am not saying they have done anything wrong but it doesn't look good that they are leading the charge it would have been better to let the other creditors do that whilst taking the moral high ground that what they were concerned with defeating him in court not ruining a man financially.

If true I hope Robinson and his wife do get done to many people use bankruptcy to jettison their debts at the expense of others.

I have no idea how well funded HNH is, or how much this case cost, but not getting them back must be a strong motivation. I don't know how much experience you have with HMRC, but they have limited resources and many demands. I doubt whether they would carry out the type of forensic investigation that is being proposed.

I once had a business partner cheat me out of a lot of money. I was going to Court, but after mediation settled out of Court, with an award to me plus some heavy costs. My partner then declared herself bankrupt. HMRC did nothing other than attend a creditors meeting. The money at stake was a lot for me, but apparently not for HMRC. She managed to hide assets and is now running another business. Untrustworthy people do this kind of thing. I also had a friend whose business failed and he was forced to declare himself bankrupt. He though spent two decades working as a teacher, and at weekends in a band, to repay all his debtors. Good folk do that kind of thing

Yaxley-Lennon's divorce looks suspiciously tactical, as does his bankruptcy.

Do they think hate does not happen outside of the right.

How would I know that?

I have not had any contact let alone supported them. They are a blank canvas for me.

Maybe you should ask them.
