It's a tough one to be fair. The easy solution is say stick with team apart from putting Sako in for Benteke...

However, Swansea are desperate for points which will play into our hands. If you put Luka in there with cabaye and jimmy mac, with Wilf, Andros and RLC swapping roles that'll cause Swansea all sorts of trouble. Granted, it's hardly sexy football and slightly negative but I'd take a point or scrappy 1-0 quite happily.

If it was my decision i would play Jimmy Mac as he is an expert at the interception between our back 4 and the midfield and then releasing our wide players.

Swansea will try and pass it around us as they do. Roy will keep it narrow and do them on the counter...

Mac should be always in the squad! Him Sakho and Zaha explain 80% most of the times our efficacy...

We are lucky to have 3 solid players in midfield. I would rotate the three. I like Luka as, along with Sakho he is a real leader on the pitch and we have missed that.

As for Sako problem is he is nowhere near as fast as Andros or Wilf. Benteke is just about able to keep up but at least has started to get into positions but yesterday, when we broke big Backary struggled to keep up.

We need a fourth DM. One of the positions highlighted by RH for Jan reinforcements.

Sako will start as striker v Swansea if there is any justice. The only head that could hold itself high at Ashton Gate IMHO.

I think Roy will stick to our current system, with Sako coming in up front.

Cabaye will get some rest by spending at least the first hour on the bench, with Luka and Jimmy Mac starting the game.

Why not push RLC forward and give him the opportunity to show his strength up top?

Keep Sako as an impact striker sub (it's refreshing we actually have one at the moment).

Jimmy and Yohan were outstanding yesterday, though more so Yohan for me. Both were unlucky not to be in with a shout for MOTM but unfortunately midfield displays that don’t end up in goals and/or assists aren’t warranted for that reward. Be unfair to drop Jimmy after that but i think he might be.

Simple answer is 'yes'.

For Swansea, with Benteke suspended, the big issue is whether you give Sako a starting place. I'd say not, keep him as an impact sub.

For Swansea I'd suggest a front two of Zaha and Townsend with Loftus-Cheek providing close support.

McArthur, Luka and Cabaye as the midfield three.

Leave the rest unchanged.

This does depend of course on who has the 'legs' for a game on Saturday. McArthur and Cabaye both put in big shifts at WBA.

Cabaye looked tired. He seemed to indicate an injury with his thigh and not long after was substituted.Maybe he has a problem there.

In terms of Swansea, prior to the Man C defeat they had only conceded 1 goal in their previous 3 Home games.

You are right but that horror show was so bad around him that he did shine. However I agree with you, wouldn't argue with him having more time next game, although there are concerns about his stamina being mentioned. Returning to the Cup horror show (sorry to sound like a scratched record but that was the only time I got to see Palace live due to finances and the pain is still there), I am praying that that band of players put in a shift against the Weed as we will be humiliated with a similar showing.
