Think a few top clubs would love to see him with them now. The Arse look awfully narrow at the moment and we know the Spuds want him but Levy will have to dig really deep into his pockets. If he continues to impress I think there will be a number of suitors at the end of the season. At the end of the day it will be entirely up to him.

If you were him would you not want to play in a 61,000 seat stadium alongside Harry Kane and Dele Alli every week purely from a career perspective?

He's only got 5 or 6 years until his pace starts to slowly slacken.

I hope he stays but would totally get it if he leaves even though with a heavy heart.

Fair point. Playing alongside Kane and Alli would mean they’d be less likely to put their studs through your shins.

Stories keep appearing in the press, presumably planted by Spurs, about how he is a cert to move to Spurs in the New Year, he's the perfect fit, he wants to move etc etc. Spurs up to their usual mind games, but let's hope Wilf is committed to us for this season at least.

Heard before that he’s ‘a perfect fit for spurs’.
I don’t really get it. They get their width from over lapping wingbacks, which he’s not. No matter how much you rate him, he won’t start in the middle in front of Erickson. No way he gets a start up front and if your chasing a game you’d bring on Son in front of Wilf to nick you a goal.
In fact I can’t see where he would go , can’t see him regularly starting for any of the top 6 and the lot below that aren’t a lot better than us.
Needs to stay where he is.

Transfers are a complex process.

Purely from my own opinionated perspective, Wilf would not look our of place at PSG or Real Madrid.
And here comes the crux. Wilf's agent will be haggling for a move. Agents only get paid for big money transfers, and that will be at the forefront of his representatives thinking. (e.g. Bostock) Get the cash, and sod the players careers.

Wilf deserves to be winning trophies, but not from the bench of a big club.

Am hoping he has the experience to make the right decision for himself, should any offers be on the table

I don't think we'll see him gone before Summer. Problem is his agent is the same agent as Kane's, and you can be certain he's in Levy's ear day in day out about Zaha.

I hope he doesn't have his head turned. This team has real potential, and we play now in a way in which everything goes through Wilf. He gets as much of the ball as he wants, we accept his odd mistakes, and he gets to be the Messiah to thousands of his hometown people.

If we lose Wilf I really don't know what our plan is going ahead. We have a system which is really reliant on him, and if he goes we have no one to replace him. He is a properly unique talent, with perhaps a better ability to make an opponent look like a total mug than any other player in the division. Man crush doesn't even begin to cover it!!!

Why would he go to Spurs? I don't have anything against them but any of our good players who have moved to Spurs have seen their careers nose dive.

Wilf at Spurs? They won't offer us or pay him enough!

Wilf loves being the idol and he also thrives on having that responsibility.

I can see him fancying a move to one of the big continental sides (PSG?) or - at a stretch - Arsenal if they lose Sanchez, but Spurs?

He loves it at Palace and I doubt he's in a huge rush to leave at the moment, especially now we have a genuinely high-level club manager running things.

Meantime let's just enjoy Wilf playing in red and blue - he must now be in the top 3 to have ever played for us alongside Wright and Sansom.

Don't forget Johnny Byrne....he was brilliant (according to my Dad)

Should increase his salary to 150k pw. I know its silly money but he is worth every penny. Wilf feels the love and adulation and you cant buy that for a footballer. Nobody wears the Palace shirt with more pride.

I don't see Wilf leaving if we stay in the Premiership.
I think he likes being "The Star" which he wouldn't be if he went to one of the top teams.
He won't need to leave for a bigger club to get into the England squad either.

He's on a fantastic salary know so I can't see money being and issue.
It's only champions league football that might tempt him away.
Even then I can only see him going if he's offered a key role.
Given that all the big clubs are playing 3 at the back he'd probably have to switch to a wing back rather than an out and out winger.
Based on that, I can't see it happening.
