I do wonder how much value he puts on being 'loved'- it was one of the over-riding points in the vid the club did of his first trip/game to Ivory Coast. He emphasized how much the fans idolize the players as much as the team itself, in some cases even more so.

I'd love to see him stay but couldn't begrudge him a move that would offer him the opportunity to perform at the highest level.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

I couldn’t see him start for Chelsea, it would be a similar experience to Manure for wilf. Look at the way they have discarded Moses this season.
Spurs won’t happen, as long as we are in the prem he will win as much for us as he will them and we are paying him more than they would. I think he is on more than most their first team with us.
Arsenal is a possibility though I fear.
If we stay up I genuinely see him staying with us.

Meantime let's just enjoy Wilf playing in red and blue - he must now be in the top 3 to have ever played for us alongside Wright and Sansom.

Don't forget Johnny Byrne....he was brilliant (according to my Dad)

Going to the Arse then.

I was thinking that actually he'll be a good fit for Chelsea...but only is Hazard moves on. EH is being touted for PSG/Barca/Real, reckon zaha would fit into that gap nicely.....unfortunately for us.

I have been thinking for a while that if he leaves again it will be for a big team abroad, where he will get a lot more protection from the ref's & the tackling is not so prevalent when in your own half. I would like Wilf to stay until the end of his career, don not see us getting relegated; so will be down to Wilf/Club when bids come in.

Chelsea incoming paper reporting today. That would mean Wilf's last season with us I reckon. He wouldn't have to move home or owt. Champions League guaranteed.

Unless Parish says 'no'

He's still got at least 3yrs left on his contact so unless the offer close to £60m then I can't see him going anywhere for a couple of seasons

The worrying thing is that he is now getting the credit and attention he deserves from most of the pundits and media with what a talent he is. Before he was a diver with a trick and not much else, in their eyes. He's up there now with the top premier league players. We'll get through January i'm sure but the summer will be a different story. I worry If a big London club comes in for him. We all know he needs to be loved and is a home bird so who knows he may well not want to go anywhere.

A much as it pains me to say it, I think we need to start planning for life without Zaha, I don’t think he will go in Jan, but over the summer I think Chelsea or another club will come in for him, also there is the realisation that it’s best to “cash in” when he is in his prime, if he did leave I would not begrudge him, and he would go for 40 odd million which of course would assist in rebuilding a squad without him.

I don't get it why posts on here see him in the £40-50M range.
Look what is out there. Its got to be north of £70M all day long.

He will stay for as long as SP wants him to , that's why SP signed him up to a big contract in the summer.

How long was that contract ?

Unless SP wants to cash in , that's how long he will stay.

If WZ keeps on playing like he's doing now for rest of season, Palace will sell him for no less than 75 mill. (50 mill. for Kyle Walker, remember!) But hopefully, Wilf wanna stay at the Eagle's nest for more than this season...

Until this season I would have put Don Rogers and Peter Taylor ahead of Wilf in the all time best Palace players league, but now rate him above them as unlike Rogers, Wilf wins/saves the game for us almost every week and unlike Taylor, he is doing it in the top flight.
