Of course. There should be no rules and everyone should do as wish.

To paraphrase Jez from Peep Show, that would mean everyone sitting on the floor, watching the poker channel, w***ing and eating those nice German biscuits.

Not really a basis for society is it?

There has to be rules and people do have to be told what to do in some instances. I don’t mind being told what to do when it is offensive to others and modifying my behaviour accordingly. Generally it is for something so minor that it is irrelevant.

If I'm not physically harming anyone or suggesting that you or someone else go out and harm someone.

If I'm not proveably lying about someone or stealing from them.

If I'm not indecently exposing myself to others who aren't overage and consenting.

If I'm not doing any of those things.....then what 'society thinks' can suck my big one.

I might be w***ing off into a cornflakes packet whilst singing 'scream if you want to go faster' by Geri Halliwell.....what some control freaks think about it matters to me not a jot.....and the same for what they want to do.

If I did blackface, let them criticise me and that's fine...but that's all.

Anyway, you're for a different way of life.

That scene where he's shagged an unsuspecting female 'progressive' was one of the best scenes.

So very very sexist....as ant and dec would say.

So very very racist....as the usual suspects would say.

I was 17.....I think I can just about recall every sex scene in just about every film I saw around about that period.

What do you think about people burning poppies, defacing war memorials or burning the Union Jack?

I think these people should be told not to do this in this country because they are offending millions people.

That is similar to my thoughts on Blackface.

They brought the poppy they can burn it. A war memorial isn't theirs to deface......burning the union jack? If they brought the flag then it's theirs to burn....I'll call them a w***er....if they do it on my property..or if they burn my union jack I'll punch them in the face.

You can tell them what you think....just as long as you can't force them.

Anyway, you have plenty of progressive friends now....enjoy.

I went to a fancy dress party once (song title theme) and blacked up and went as Young, Gifted and Black.

I wasn't being racist. If there'd been a song called Young , Gifted and White I'd have just gone as myself. But there wasn't a song called that so I couldn't.

I don't think anyone was offended, except all the white people there who weren't considered young or gifted enough to have a song sung about them.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

Not everyone who disagrees on a single subject with you dislikes you or the majority of your views.

Social libertarianism is perhaps a large topic but point taken.

Cool....never done fancy dress.

They call it cosplay now I think.......In my late forties I find myself wearing trouser braces.....perhaps I'd go as my old grandad.....where's that working man's cap?

I believe it is generally accepted that certain behaviours or terminology from yesteryear is not accepted in this modern society.

What many find objectionable is the constant 'PC Creep' of the cacophanous PC Brigade who forever are extending the parameters of what they deem "Racist" much of which is deemed totally ridiculous.

It is fast reaching the stage that in time we will have a dictum on high from the PC Brigade to say we cannot say that we have an aversion to "Irish stew" or "French fries".

I have friends of all hues, I don't judge people by their colour, just their character, and some of my black friends agree with my sentiments.

You can't use the term 'White Christmas' anymore, Willo:

Cosplay is niche fancy dress, not any fancy dress.
