No fan of Pardew but he got something out of us after Warnock when we looked down and took us to an FA Cup final. Pardew isn't to blame for our difficulties this season and with a competent manager from pre-season we'd probably be in a slightly better position to now.

For me, AP will always be a Palace hero, not least for 1) his ‘assist’ v Blackburn in the 1989 play-off 2nd leg (except I don’t think the word ‘assist’ had been invented then; and 2) FA Cup semi-final 1990. Sure his reign as manager ultimately ended in disappointment and dismissal, but ultimately that is true of most managers at most clubs. I think we all need to get over it.

I don’t think it’s as simplistic as saying it ended in disappointment. He proper threw some eggs in our cupboard.
