I have no idea if UFO's exist but I can see how it would suit the military for people to believe in them. Area 51 is a testing site used by Lockheed for experimental aircraft so of course people will see strange lights in the sky. For years there has been talk of "Aurora" which is supposed to be a space plane that can take off normally fly into space and orbit. Janes the defense magazine believes it exists, no doubt in 20 years we will know the truth. Unmanned drones are where the military are spending their money and these can by all sorts of shapes and sizes depending on their function. Until a ship lands and they say take me to your leader I am a skeptic. As one of the posters said the real story is a politician funneling money to his mate. The military explanation is compelling until you realise that UFO's have been seen since the ancient past. We would also have to have technology that far exceeds know levels. Where did that come from when we only achieved powered flight 115 years ago?

I'd also suggest that the Ancient Aliens theory has a lot of play in amongst all of this as well

With the amount of camera phones, CCTV, Dashcams etc. it seems rather unlikely that there is no good photographic evidence of anything that used to appear in those old Arthur C Clarke books: I used to buy all those 'Mystery' magazines and books and s*** myself up with all the ghost stuff. Then suddenly when we have the greatest sharing networks ever, the best photographic and recording equipment ever we're still stuck with a few photos that look like someone's stuck a piece of cardboard on their bedroom window. UFOs are definitely a possibility but I think everything we've seen so far is military or commercial earth-based technology.

He'd better not land at Old Trafford then because God knows what the aliens will think if "take me to your leader" results in being introduced to that lunatic. We're all living in a simulation apparently... so this UFO stuff is either all made up, a glitch, or our programming overlords. Shame we can't simulate Palace not being crap for half of every season. If you're reading this overlords...make us win the Champions League, would ya?!
