Steam.open up the airway. Glycerine to coat the throat also. In particularly bad cases or if it is croup (you will sound like a seal barking if it is ) then the hospital will give you a steroid to open the airway
When I was a young girl my Mother said to me.. You listen here kid you're CPFC |

Just getting over mine. But, I can recommend Olbas Pastilles in conjunction with Day Nurse / Night Nurse, honey and lemon. Always read the label. I have no medical qualifications. Sleep well.

Make yourself some honey and lemon with thyme in it. Thyme will fix you up. Give it a go and get back to me. Vit C won't help. Vit D is better I agree it is a great healer.

I had this bout 8 years ago. Was told it was infection of respirotary gland. It was horrible. Hope you feel better soon!

Just back from a week off myself...first time in years I've been off..knocked me sideways. Not only did I have violent headaches that made me vomit I also had cramp in the soles of my feet during the night which was excruciating....its not as if the Ashe's being on made it any more tollerable!
