Just what is working class

Working classes have jobs they had to do in order to live, and hated them. Middle classes had professions they had to do in in order to live, and generally liked them.

It's virtually meaningless now outside of identity politics. We had an era of the bracket being defined by those who didn't actually work, with those who did having no interest in such labels. I suppose now it's defined by those claiming in-work or other benefits, which if you include Child Benefit is the majority of families. When you consider books like Owen Jones' 'Chavs' we're just a political football for the left who now care more about those who aren't white.
