It's ok posting all your links and how great crypto is but it seems to me to just be a protest vote.
How will crypto be better.
It seems like the envy of the poorer.
All I read is how we are being robbed and how it shouldn't be etc etc.
How on earth can it change.
There is a hierarchy in all of life.
Including finance.
Correct what I've said and why your way will be so much better.
If you reduce the amount of markets like when the euro came to Europe then you reduce competition to retaliate against currency.
Crypto is a single currency.
This cannot be good unless you get in early and control it exactly as the banks are now.

I was really hoping you didn't go down this path but hey, each to their own.

Buy Litecoin.

Waiting for that then eh.
It is really though isnt it.
A battle against good and evil.
Your crypto pound still buys the same as my paper pound.
That will never change.
What may change is that my pocket is being picked and I'm aware of it.
If yours is you may not know until you log on.

For me, it will be most interesting to see what happens to BitCoin when the economy tanks in a year or two. There would seem to be more upside than down in such a scenario.

If you're so sure the economy is going to tank in a year or two, sell everything & short the market.

Then again, maybe it's not that certain after all?! Anyone who thinks they can predict the market is deluded imho.

Yes, well of course I can't 100% know. Just that these cycles come around and around and there are signs that we may well be approaching a worldwide recession over the next couple of years.

It was simply a view. Not everything said here needs to be jumped on with a level of hostility.

It's true that markets aren't subject to mystic meg.

However, taking on the role of 'Stirlingsays Meg' and utterly contradicting what I just said.... I can confidently pretty much predict with 'cast iron' certainty that recessions or at least significant economic dips will happen if the Democrats gain power.

If Corbyn gains power the British economy will also freefall....but I'm not sure how that affects Bitcoin.

I'll definitely by funneling cash into Bitcoin if the Democrats win....and so will plenty of others.

Fair enough, hostility not intended and apologies if it came across that way. My general point is that there’s room for a little less certainty when talking about the markets. Similar to footy, it’s very unpredictable & that’s what makes it interesting.

Inverted bond yields is also a sign - Germany bound to shrink for a second quarter too.

No worries Yes there are no doubt many possible permutations going forward. As with all, I suppose time will tell.

It wouldn't surprise any of us I think.

I summise America is going to be fine for now.....Trump definitely affects confidence positively in the US markets.

But it's going to happen at some point, it's just a matter of when.

Maybe 8 - 10 years.
It seems about a 20 year cycle
88-90
08-10
28-30 ?

That seems enough time for it to be all tickety boo
Then boom have that.

So when (if) crypto does become the go to currency, who will people go to to borrow money when they want to buy a house/business/something big that they need but can't afford to pay for now?

Surely other people with lots will lend them the required money, at a cost. How is this better than what we have now?
