Tonight, 8:30pm.

Can't imagaine it'll add much understanding to those already very genned up and the source will cause some mouth-froth, I'm sure, nonetheless could be of some interest.

Supposed to have a cock-ring, Evan Davis, innee? (Just thought I'd throw that in there for anyone uninitiatated. Quite how that's become a fairly common knowledge, I have no idea, but his alleged cock-ring is firmly out there, no buts.)

Last but not least, thanks for the heads-up bud but having read that the main topic appears to be Libra..........?

The fiat system as we know it is, imo, coming to an end.
No Bitcoin etc isn't perfect, but hopefully it'll allow for far far less manipulation (favouring only the elites!) than the current system allows, a system that people should REALLY be scared of if only they took the bloody time to learn.
Given the current bailouts for those ever so nice bankers (yet again!) maybe we'll find out very soon how scary the current system is.

PS..........Any chance we can drop the ''utopian''?

Ta.

Nah. Because it is.

Also, as repeated many a time, all systems can and will be manipulated. It matters little what they are, only who controls them. Bitcoin, or any other unregulated currency will never be adopted into the mainstream in its current form, unless, again as I've said before, there is some cataclysmic event that completely removes all established power structures. Protip – highly unlikely.

We already know how scary the system is. Your deregulated system is, to most people, much scarier. I also don't buy the historical comparison – wealth and trade centres were more localised but the the same power, control and manipulation systems existed. Just on a smaller scale. It's called human nature.

The fiat system as we know it is indeed coming to an end. It will be replaced by another fiat system that uses some element of blockchain coupled with challenger banks. Some of the big boys will die off but the system will simply evolve to fit the current narrative, not completely change. Perhaps enough to convince people it's more democratic, but the same old s*** will still be churning through.

The only reason it hasn't been adopted yet is because no one has figured out a way to monetise it, commercialise it and manipulate it. But they will.

On occasion you do remind me of people who believe in the second coming. Always just round the corner.

Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons.

I thought I'd put this quote in here just for you Tux.

'Corporations are legal fictions created by the State to shield executives from liability… It’s like if I had a little hand-puppet, and I went to rob a bank, and the hand-puppet held the little gun and told people to hand over all the money, and then the hand-puppet grabbed the money and ran out, and then I got caught and I handed the hand-puppet over the police and then the police tried the hand-puppet, put the hand-puppet in jail, and I get to keep all the money.'

(Stefan Molyneux)

The banking system to a tee. It's always the puppets that suffer.
I've done enough 'preaching' regarding crypto-currency here hence no comments from me for a while.

I just wish more would take the time to understand the ever-devaluing currency that they use daily to realise that there is a far far better alternative.

People are what people are i guess.

Once again, ''I just wish more would take the time to understand the ever-devaluing currency that they use daily''

I guess that'll be your pension?
