As a matter of interest the card system is as consistent or otherwise as anything is that relies on human intervention as there are cases where the mods can't agree amongst themselves whether something is worthy of a card or not.

The second point that I would make is that moderating is often reactionary rather than proactive and we frequently rely on readers reporting offensive threads as happened in this case.

Personally I have no interest in Bitcoins so haven't bothered to read this thread assuming that it's not the sort of subject that would get people all fired up

There won't be any ''readies'' bud which is a shame tbh. ''Readies'' mean that you still have control over X-amount of your wealth. Why people are so eager to hand over the complete control of their 'financial worth' to a bank continually baffles me.

And 'SIB'? Sorry, i don't get it.

The BoE, along with every other Central Bank on the planet, are complicit in the current situation. If they didn't exist then is probable that we'd never be in the financial s*** that we are now in ie a system that only benefits those who print the money!
Question for the thread: if the BoE was 'our own money' then why do we pay interest when borrowing our own money?
