Bitcoin down 3% this month. Still up 31% over past 12 months.

Very volatile as always. Great investment though.

Yep.
July was predicted to be volatile this month (retracements etc) prior to the next wave up and Litecoin has it's 'halving' next month.
Bitcoin/Litecoin still great investments so far this year and are now cheaper than they were a month ago therefore still a...........

Par for the course isn't it? I'd be inclined to check in on it once a month if I did a significant investment, as I can see how it'd be easy to get drawn into every up and down of the rollercoaster ride!

If you put a significant amount in then with all due respect you'd already know what you're investing in.

I'm getting the feeling that this thread is turning into the invasion of the body snatchers.

In a couple of months time I fear that I might be telling people that it's a good time to buy.

Most likely, but the point I was getting at is that with any investment it's generally not wise to get overly scared by short term changes. By which I mean, what happens or happened in July is largely irrelevant.
