Our island nation is going to be pretty screwed by climate change anyway. Clearly, the only answer is to move to high ground now. Cities up every mountain. Towns relocated to every hill. And we'll leave those too poor, stupid or generally a bit odd living in the towns in the floodplains. That'll teach them!

Unskilled immigrants are, arguably, more necessary because they do the s*ty jobs the existing workforce eschews. This was the impetus behind the attraction of immigrants from the former colonies after WW2, when returning soldiers were promised "jobs for heroes" which wasn't cleaning school toilets or sweeping the streets. Those unskilled immigrants bring or have children who then get educated and add to the economy as they eat food, wear clothes and need a place to live. And voila! In the space of one generation, you've got educated workers from unskilled immigrant families to replace the lost labour and demand of the kids that the rest of us aren't having. We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just waing with a football.

Or, I've been a proponent of the scientific consensus that climate change is man made (and dangerous) for a long time now - including buying my home electricity from 100% renewable sources for over a decade and buying additional carbon credits to offset my car - and you don't know what you're talking about.
