Why mess around with loaning him out? He is not a promising 20 year old striker anymore - cut the losses and get rid of. Somehow Benteke is not meant to be a (high) scoring Eagle...

At the end of the day we WANT him to start scoring just as long as he doesn't play against us, which under a loan deal he wouldn't be. If he get his mojo back, we can get a reasonable price for him come the summer.

Doubt he's going to get much game time this season. Should have let him go instead of giving him a new contract in the vain hope that he'll one day start scoring.

Madness if we let him go to Villa. It will cost us a lot more if he was to start scoring and we started losing and we ended up relegated. (Unlikely this will happen but not impossible). Loan him out to European league side.
