I honestly think he was missed yesterday. Completely agree. He's been woeful in front of goal, that's not up for debate, but he's also been excellent at holding the play up and being an outlet for our midfield of even defensive line. We need him back for Brighton.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Would you?' by Midlands Eagle No. We scored twice without him, it's the defence that's the problem - particularly letting in late goals and Hodgson's failure to change the game with subs at that late stage.

We did, but one was an extraordinary free kick from Milovojevic (who we know is good from the dead ball) and a good goal from Zaha, in a game that he contributed little else. I wouldn't want to rely on the same set of circumstances occurring in the next five games. Let's not forget that Roy Hodgson didn't play at league level whilst Frank de Boer played at the highest of the high levels yet Roy has achieved far more as a manager than Frank did

The issue I think is that Benteke is not the striker we need with the attacking players we've got. We know honestly that crossing isn't really Wilf or Andros' strong point. I think we need a pacy striker to play off the last defender. Wilf and adros will be much better at cut backs along the floor or through balls along the floor

However, didn't Sam seem to get them playing together last season?

I've never met anyone who actually has.
