He was hungry at Villa on smaller money.

He got little service under Frank and his form has still not recovered.

We don't play to his strengths, he doesn't put enough in and he's in the wrong place when the ball comes across goal on the deck rather than at head height but we can't afford for him to be unavailable.

Rotating keepers and playing them on merit has improved both their games, Benteke just needs to be put in the same situation and he'll come good.

Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot.

If he keeps on contributing to wins like he did tonight and against Leicester sell him. We don't want players other teams worry about would like in their side. At the end of the day I am happy to leave it up to Super Roy.

Football is steam game, and CB played his part in a fine victory last night IMO.

Apart from his head, I am not sure what his strengths actually are?

He actually has skills. Can dribble and has reasonable speed. His weaknesses are currently a complete lack of mobility, anticipation and confidence.

Great play against city, winning nearly every knock down from wayne, great assist for mcarthurs goal last night, good all round performances last two games, didnt score, but played his part, i think as someone said before, roys playing him for a reason, and in roy we trust!

I streamed the game last night, and the commentators consistently criticised Bentke's lack of effort.

Yes, a decent assist for the equaliser, and a turn and shot that required a save from their keeper. That was largely it in terms of his contribution.

Roy's certainly playing him for a reason - he has no alternative !

He needs to regain confidence - he could do that by working harder and smarter - he's not doing enough of that at the moment.

He certainly has an alternative! Sako!

But there is no comparison between Benteke and Sako, Big Ben is the better footballer, goalscorer and striker. He will start banging in the goals again.

But even when he does there will be Palace fans who will moan about him for a lack of effort.

Like the idiotic moaning first half vs arsenal when we hoofed the ball straight up to Cech and he didn't go sprinting after it.
