He certainly has an alternative! Sako!

But there is no comparison between Benteke and Sako, Big Ben is the better footballer, goalscorer and striker. He will start banging in the goals again.

But even when he does there will be Palace fans who will moan about him for a lack of effort.

Like the idiotic moaning first half vs arsenal when we hoofed the ball straight up to Cech and he didn't go sprinting after it.

If he's banging the goals in then nobody would complain about his lack of effort but he's not, he's currently just a big lump of s*** up front contributing f*** all whilst pocketing 100k a week.

Re-watch the goals against Saints; first goal Tekkers heads it into McArthur's path for an easy goal. Second goal it is Bentenke winning the ball off the defender that starts the move that leads to the goal.

Leave your blinkers on if you want though.

Ah I see, so one assist is a good return for a lazy, £30 million ,100k a week striker. I prefer my blinkers over yours thanks.

So did you notice any difference between the games we played against Leicester and Southampton last night and the game we played against Swansea ?

I don't get your point, all I remember from the Swansea game was that peach of a goal scored by Ayew who always scores worldies against us. Im guessing that was the game Benteke was suspended otherwise you wouldn't bring it up.

My point is if you are a lazy player but come up with moments of brilliance every game like Berbatov then thats fine, no problem your goals/assists make up for that, but if your not banging the goals in then at least put a decent f***ing shift in, especially when you are the clubs most expensive player of all time, and highest earner of all time.

We could have got Mo Salah for an extra £2 million, just saying.

Did you notice we won two of the games and who was involved in the at least 4 of the goals. If that player was available against Swansea we might have won that one as well.
Berbatov did not come up with moments of brilliance every game and was often called lazy. What you do need at the top levels is someone with a bit of quality who can win you games now and again even when they have not been chasing lost causes all game.
And yes there different levels of quality / lazy players, Berbatov was probably better than Benteke is.

Unfortunately the system is totally different to last season.

You also have to question the lack of quality of balls into him.

He gets a lot of knock downs and no palace players anywhere near him.

Perhaps you need to reconsider your opinion.

Benteke deserves critism for his contribution this season - service or no service. Mostly out of position (in the box), lose the ball very often with back to opposition goal and create counter attacks against us. One goal scored so far is whatever anyone say - pathetic from a team's main striker.

Tekkers has definitely under-performed in front of goal. However, when we actually play into him - not up to his head, but actually into his chest or feet - he is consistently effective and allows us to move up the pitch and build attacks. That's a part of the number 9's game that some people overlook.

His price tag and wages are a bit steep for "just that" I'll agree. But how big is the list of possible, realistic replacements? Sell Tekkers and you'll need to buy two of them.

Haters gonna hate as they say. But yeah, he and us could do with more goals. He still has credit in the bank from me from scoring the goals that kept us up last season.

MotD highlighted his closing down of Man City players which allowed us to implement Roy’s plan, So, maybe not as lazy as some are suggesting. And this is what Roy had to say after the Watford win.
“But he still did something quite incredible in the last minute, chasing a ball down back to Gomes and forcing him into a poor kick out of play, which effectively killed the game for us,” said the manager. “When you’re a coach, those little moments mean a lot. It gives you a bit of pleasure.”

commentator was saying that we were the slowest team to score an away goal in the top 20 leagues across Europe.

currently on 22 points.

imagine how many points we would have had we never started Benteke this season ? 35 ? 38 ?

Eze Peasy at Anfield....
