Give him a 2 year extension on reduced wages, cheaper than buying unproven championship/European striker. If he doesn't cut it sell him next year or give him a free.

He is rubbish, only got goal because of defection, and missed a sitter of a header, wake up, he is rubbish and i pray he isn't here next year or Roy

He must be in running for player of the season. He has done better than a lot of others and improved greatly compared to some others.

That sitter of a header was a great save. A constant menace, linked up well and won everything in the air as usual. He’s not the potent finisher we always need him to be, but he’s the best we’ve got.

That's 6 goals from 18 starts so a 1 in 3 hit rate. It's not a prolific rate but it's OK. The more regularly he scores, the more confidence he will get. I can't see us spending the money needed to bring in a new striker, so if Benteke is willing to accept reduced wages, I expect him to get an extension (possibly 2 years as someone has already suggested). I expect Mateta to be given opportunities next year (if his loan isn't cut short). It will be a question of whether he does well enough to warrant the fee being asked for him. We'll rely on Ayew as the other striker option if needed.

That would be a terrible decision, plus you can only release early by mutual consent, otherwise you have to pay the full contract. He is a waste of space let’s move on!

His hold up play is good, he plays wall passes that gets others in. He is solid at defending corners. He doesn't moan and roll about. He gets up and carries on. And now, with his confidence restored, his shooting and heading is Maybe he knows he is going but it's not obvious as the effort is still there. So I hope he resigns and with the partnership he is building with Eze we see him having a great season next year. If we can get Wilf's head right again and playing as a team member and not a frustrated wannabe galatico then it could be fun.

As Doombear says 1 goal from each 3 starting game . That would be 18 goals a season , now I would call that prolific .
