To sum up my feelings: I had entirely convinced myself that Swansea are a bogey team for us. And while a draw isn’t great I nevertheless feel ‘banana skin navigated’. We have two VERY tough games coming up but look at it this way: good job we are playing City at the start of the second half of the season and not at the end! We get these two tough games out of the way and, while there is a good chance we could be back in the relegation zone come new year’s, I would have bitten your hand off to be in this position after de Boer’s start.

Maybe taking one match with another, but anyone who thought any of that today (with the exception of Milivojevic' penalty conversion) was "top ten football" is delusional.

Unbeaten in 8 games is top ten football. If the season began 2 months ago we would be in the top ten. My post acknowledged that we played poorly today, as even top ten teams do, but we still won an away point. If someone thinks that our last 9-10 games are not 'collectively' top ten, then they sir, are being delusional.

Without Benteke, Sakho & Ward I think a point is ok. Certainly better for us than it was for Swansea.

Our unbeaten run continues and we continue to give ourselves a chance which looked impossible at the start.

We're now gettingh points when not playing well, so unlike the start when we played well in some games and still lost.

That's it exactly, Any single one of us couldnt have dreamed of being in this position after the first 7 games,we have climbed mountains so far and all this while missing Sakho,Benteke, Zaha at different stages.

The injuries are piling up for teams around us so every point we can get in this division will be massive.

There is no reason why we wont get a result against Arsenal, There away from is terrible.

And knowing Palace as we do, I wouldn't bank my house on losing to either Arsenal or City.

Playing away to a team who have just sacked their manager and being led by a respected member of staff was a difficult task, so a draw isn't bad. Just as the away point at West Brom against a new manager, I think that's OK. Good we had Luka to take the penalty. Roy sounds reasonably content with a point. Bournemouth have home games against West Ham & Everton next, West Brom against Everton & Arsenal at home too, whilst West Ham have two away games at Bournemouth & Spurs. Let's hope we're still out of the bottom 3 after those. Thinking back to the end of September, surely we'd have been grateful to be where we are tonight?

A win today would have been too easy, too straightforward. Prior to the game I actually thought we'd find a way to lose!

So my fellow Palace supporters, happy Christmas. Not a bad present being out of the relegation zone for the big day - especially given our various absences. More than most would have expected at the start of the month.

Our second away game with a goal and a point also. Good result all in all, not beaten again. No Sakho or Benteke either.

Well said! And think about it, if the season finished today we'd be safe, even with that start. So one would expect to at least be safe after the next half of the season.

And the negativity starts again from a lot of people on here.

We should have won that game and thats a fact we controlled the game from start to finish and get undone b a great piece of skill and goal.

we missed Benteke big time in that game but regardless we should been out of sight before they scored.

Our defense was solid and no bad performances on the pitch, we just lacked a bit of composure in front of goal.

I am far from happy we only got a point but id be much more if we sneaked a late equalizer and played s***e.

We have improved 1000% percent in the last couple months and with a it of luck with injuries we will be more than safe come May.

Looking at the result rationally wont go down well on here. Generally they are looking for someone to blame. It is very naïve to think we are going to play like we did against Leicester last week, that's not how football works out, except if your Man City.
We aren't going to beat every team in the bottom 10 regardless. Roy has got us back in a reasonable position, undefeated in 8 games was unthinkable in October.
People need to be positive we are heading in the right direction.

I could be wrong but I think they’re holding back and saving themselves for the arse on Thursday
