American owners were not on board at that time but Huw Jenkins was the owner/chairman and he is still at the club as Chairman.

Also Sheff. Wed (the club that lost to Middlesboro) have parted with their manager, Carlos Carvalhal. With the transfer window opening on the 01/01 perhaps there could be more clubs changing managers.

Including yesterday's defeat to Middlesbrough, Sheff Wed had only won 3 of their previous 15 games and were 15th in the table.The sacking of Carvalhal was no surprise to me.
