In his first season at Sheff Wed he did well, taking them to 6th but they lost in the play-off final to Hull. Last season (His second) they finished 4th but lost out in the Play-Off semi final to Huddersfield. This season has been a disappointment and he was sacked with the club in 15th place but 2 play-off places is not a bad achievement.

He's a decent appointment. Whether he can dig them out of their current hole is debatable, but he should help them to make a challenge next season if they go down.
If you come to a fork in the road, take it. |

If I was a Swansea fan I'd be less than impressed. How is a failed Championship manager going to keep them up? To me that's one of the relegation places sorted which can only be a good thing.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

Some of us were rather pleased when RH was announced. He is a fine manager. Swansea appear to have thrown in the towel. Neither were we when CPFC announced Hodgson...

Neither were we when CPFC announced Hodgson... There were supporters whom I talked to who wanted Hodgson appointed when Allardyce left and of course they were delighted when he replaced FDB.

A strange appointment - they were crying out for a Pulis/Allardyce type of saviour.
You fed me, you bred me, I'll remember your name. |

Yes it was a strange appointment & shows lack of ambition. An interesting stat I heard earlier is that Swansea have never appointed a manager with Prem experience since they got promoted. Also Jenkins said earlier that there are no funds available for new players unless they sell 1st.If I was a Swans fan I would be very worried with that statement because they got about £60m in the summer selling Sigurdsson & Llorente & didn't invest much of it in the team plus they also lost about 90% of their goals from the previous season. I live in Swansea & the fans are very angry with Jenkins & the Yank owners, they seem to be asset striping the club ready for relegation.
