I wonder if we are trying a last minute push for him. He's sight seeing in London. Everton saying they have done all they can to get the deal done. Does suggest a little bit of doubt.. I've seen all the fugures thrown about in terms of wages but who knows.

I think the problem was not the valuation but the payment schedule, and that had to be compatible with our FFP. Regarding Niasse ISTR he was quite happy with the tranfer fee and wages and that it was the unwarranted ransom demanded by the agent that made him lose his s***. Need to be wary of players who are going to get themselves banned by conning the ref. Also needs to remind the cheating t*** that he owes us two points. Last time we bought a player who'd recently obtained a penalty against us by cheating we ended up with a striker so static that dogs use him as a toilet. However, Niasse could be decent if he worked hard and played fairly. I would rather nab Tosun from under Sam's nose though. In his defense, a number of reports claimed that the player's agent requested a bunch of extra cash at the last minute. If those reports were true, and I see no real reason to doubt them, the SP was right to cancel the deal.

That player's movement and energy has by common consent not been up to snuff this season and I am wondering if there is a correlation between players who *end* *up* playing poorly and those who expect refs to do them a favour. But if you wish to get all offended about it, carry on.

Yeh...but maybe the reason his agent was tempted to do this was because it was left to the very last minute... Look guys, SP himself said on TV that he dithered. He's admitted the blame so there's no more debating really.
