They shut off the internet temporarily too I believe. It's always a real worry when there is a information blackout like that to hide what's going on.

There is no revolution without blood.

Unfortunately this will end in the usual way.

That's an industry which has always had lack of morality issues and not government. Have we had any ultra-Liberals in the cabinet in the UK? Harriet Harman? Is she one?

I would categorise most mainstream politicians, of any hue, since 1991, as ultra liberal. Major, Clegg, Clarke, Blair, Brown, Mandelson, Cameron, Osbourne and May are all liberals, pursuing a slainted, liberal agenda.

With regards politics, trying to play down the Hollywood sex scandal and say that ‘it has always happened’ is both staggeringly wrong and false. Hollywood activity supports and finances liberal politics in the US and uses its wealth & power to infiltrate the political elite. Stating that in a liberal industry, this has always been a problem, doesn’t address that problem. This is part of my problem with liberal politics. Liberals are prepared to remove moral integrity and replace it with a vacuum, which advocates people doing exactly what they want, with no consequences, no matter how damaging the end result.

I am not saying that religion doesn’t have its problems but to believe that the religious should be barred from office when allowing the feckless to be, is extremism.

Hollywood has had abusers from all sides. Plenty of studio heads were republicans and took advantage of their power back in the day on the casting couch. Politically they have gone further too with the likes of Ronald Reagan President, Arnie and Clint, and Charlton Heston as the A-lister NRA lobbyist. Then there were virulent far-right anti-semites like Walt Disney.

A long list here of some very famous and powerful Republican Hollywood stars which kinda proves it is not a Liberal free for all up in them thar Hills. [Link]

In terms of abusers I would agree that someone's politics is really neither here or there......it can be pointed out that those on the left are the bigger hypocrites but all that is merely grandstanding at the end of the day.

However, your last paragraph has to be countered along the lines of balance of political representation in modern day Hollywood.

Hollywood was always inclined toward the more liberal....but today there is out and out discrimination against right wing actors and workers...if you aren't 'fitting in politically' you aren't going to get the job or the start......It's an open secret and there's a fair amount of documentation over hiring practices....Crowder spoke about the problems he had getting started....hell he had to go independent in the end.......Recently those on the right have been highlighting this because even the ethical on the left haven't spoken up.......and the numbers of declared actors willing to say they are on the right is tiny compared to the left.

I wouldn't imagine any of those are ultra liberal, in my wildest dreams. Some are a bit liberal, or average liberal - Clegg and Blair - and even Blair would be pushing it a bit given their authoritarian approch to the criminal justice system (more offences, more people in prison than ever before) and a hefty nanny state approch to individual choice.

I think people think liberal means being pro-rights for minorities and soft on immigration.

Ah, the liberal ‘[insert group to deflect argument] of all hues exist’ standard deflection.

Unfortunately, in Hollywood, the liberal elite and majority, through its programme of not wishing to seem an ‘ist’ or promote an ‘ism’ of any nature, has created the vacuum for the abusers not only to exist but to flourish.

Pointing out which actors are Republican is not a satisfactory rebuff. It is a deflection and one that highlights the moral weakness of liberals in defending the society they have created since the 1960’s.

Liberal equals nanny state. That is what liberals want, they want you to say and think whatever fashionable fad of the day is their paramount campaign.

I think liberal is a form of fascism. A form of social control which forces people to act and think through fear of being labelled or imprisoned for free speech.

Very much like religion then.

You mention 'since the 60's...' Yet from then, and for the majority of the time, the most powerful governments and most powerful media, who have affected social policy and, thus, society itself, to where we are today here and in the U.S, have been very right-wing.

Murdoch, Black, Thatcher, Reagan, Nixon, Bush and the neo-Cons, Dacre, Desmond, etc. What have the liberals to offer? Bill Clinton and John Major and maybe throw in Matthew Wright as a freebie.

The people whom your criticism should really be aimed at are the former but because they come from the same political arena you don't/can't so you blame others instead. You would make a good politician yourself.
