Just when I thought the whole discussion in the media would be about Puncheon's tackle it turns out to be a really nasty attack on Wilfred, the incident was just in front of my spot in the Holmesdale, it was at speed and no way a dive...the only shock was that having seen Wilf brought down so often without any free kick or penalty, couldn't believe it was given especially by Moss.
My goodness who would have expected such vitriol from some of the most boring and tedious commentators alive, at least MOD gave proper thought and reason to it all and showed respect for what the team achieved. Although Wilfred gets some proper recognition these days this shows he is still vulnerable to being targeted for criticism which feels like an attack on Palace.
We just were not supposed to be showing Man City up were we and once the cry goes out they all follow..

I still don't really get this one. I really did not see it as a dive, full stop. Sterling clearly infringed his passage and Zaha went down with no exaggeration. Based on the referee allowing Walker to push Zaha over every time he went past him I was surprised that he gave it, but I still can't work out why people are saying it was a dive? Having a referee in the studio does highlight how incompetent they can be even with television replays though.

Before big mouth Poll goes shooting his mouth off I suggest he looks at players like Kane or Ali who are continually diving, but the pundits call it being "clever".Apart from the fact they are not adverse to dishing out career threatening tackles,which no one seems bothered about.
I'm a bit tired of Wilf being victimised and demonized every time he's awarded a penalty,and therefore in future referees will be prejudiced against him.
I was about 20 yards away from the incident and I knew straight away it was a foul,and the ref had no hesitation at all.It never occured to me that such a fuss would be made by sensationalist ex-players and duff has-been referees who should know better.

When the two recent horrific tackles by Kane & Ali were highlighted on MOTD by one of the pundits, Lineker said we don't want to talk about that,let's just talk about the football,imagine if Puncheon had commited a foul as bad as one of theirs,he'd have been hung , drawn & quartered.

I've criticised him in the past for going down too easy but I have to admit he really was trying to stay on his feet this match and holding off on the moaning at the ref. Hopefully something good will come out of the recent criticism and he's turned a corner on that aspect of his game.
