Stop being petty and stick to the point the OP made. He doesn't want to see these kind of challenges and we should embrace that. Don't you?

Think it was the cnut Grujic, should have been banned for 15 games for that challenge but did not even get a red.

Starting a thread to criticise our own player?

Weird.

Bad tackles happen from time to time. They used to happen all the time.
I'm more concerned with losing Dann and Puncheon and probably needing to replace them in the window.

Yet another who is missing the point.

Doh!

No point.

So others do this kind of tackle, that's alright then? I hope we don't hear you say the same thing when Wilf is crocked.

Not quite sure how you’ve come to that conclusion from my post. I’m merely stating it was a mistimed tackle, not malicious nor violent which is what the OP is suggesting.

Bad tackles are part and parcel of game, it’s a fast paced contact sport. Wilf was crocked earlier in the season, I doubt there was violent intent in that, it just happens in football.

After reading the OP I was expecting it to be like a Roy Keane on Hangland, which it clearly wasn’t. As others have said it was not as dangerous as a studs up into a standing leg which happens every other week in the Prem.

notmistimed. look at it; it was done with intent. He was caught for pace by DB and decided he was going to take him out. He could have done that with an ankle tap or a pull but he was out to get his man. And didn't he just.

Well, I'm repeating myself now so I'll sign off with this subject.

What a great result for Palace and what a great manager the man Hodgson is. I trust him implicitly.

By the way, talking about the old days, Norman Hunter on John Craven was the worse tackle I've ever witnessed.

We’ll have to agree to disagree, only JP himself will know.

Yep, tremendous result. Professor Roy of Football is doing an excellent job and long may it continue.

Pureism in football is a lost cause. Like players falling down, and poor refereeing (with no back-up).

Even the marvellous Mark c***enberg has admitted recently how he bowed to 'pressure' (from his mates)

You have to take the rough with the smooth and just bite your lip

Thing is, would we be all that bothered even if Puncheon was banned for 4 games?

It's not a massive loss as he's not even been on the bench for many recent games!

Plus which of course he's injured anyway.

JP has not played very much over the past couple of months and certainly is not up to speed with regard to match fitness. DeBruyne is match fit, up to speed and very quick. It looked a poor challenge but Puncheon was slow into the challenge and caught DeBruyne very late. DeBruyne shifted it on quickly and was too clever. No studs showing. It smacked of a player not up to the speed of the game who hadn't gained much in the way of proper match fitness. I don't really rate Puncheon, slows us down with too many touches, but don't think it was particularly malicious. In fact was quite suprised that DeBruyne was so badly injured as a result of it. Happens in a physical contact sport. hope DeBruyne has a good recovery.

God, it makes me so angry....I am gonna find a little bloke... I'm gonna have a fight!
