Not a game for the purist, there's drainage issues at St Mary's which has caused havoc with the pitch, I saw the drainage blokes go in yesterday when I went back to retrieve my keys that went flying un-noticed celebrating Luka's goal. Add to the hoolie that was blowing, the conditions were not conducive to a free flowing game.

Similarly in rugby and rugby league, the TMO can really only influence a decision based on what he is asked.

If Union, if the referee thinks it's a try, he can ask 'is there any reason I can't award the try', in which case only something clear and obvious can overturn it. If he asks 'Try yes or no' then there needs to be much clearer evidence it WAS scored.

In rugby league the referee tells the TMO what decision he has on the field and again, only clear evidence to the contrary changes the call.
