Just watched a recording of the Southampton game and thought he was outstanding.
All over the pitch players were miss placing passes and miss timing tackles due to the terrible conditions but i don't remember him making any mistakes and his passing was supreme.
To finish it off by scoring the winner topped off what i would say was the best performance by any Palace player this season. Not to mention this came off playing 48 hours earlier and missing a last minute penalty.

Totally agree with the above. He has been fantastic. I had him down as my MoM for the City game also. Just unfortunate he missed the pen. Future captain for sure.

I know it has been said already but last night was just tremendous.
To play as poorly as we did in the first half and to then come out and do what we did in the second is what it is all about.
Tired after the City game, countless injuries, a dreadful pitch, pouring with rain and we bloody well won!
Palace under Roy have got team spirit back - a togetherness that we had lost for quite a while.
Roy himself has been a revelation to me.
I was underwhelmed by his appointment but it is impossible to speak too highly of him now - his tactics, man management and motivation and his public demeanour just ooze class.
I posted before the City game that I thought we would only get 17 points before the end of the season - I now eat those words and humble pie!
I am sure that our injuries will cost us without a few reinforcements coming in but I really believe that this CPFC team will fight their way out of trouble now.
A very happy Palace fan!!

Just read the Guardian match report and they reckon Benteke was "half a yard offside" for the first goal. I don't remember him being anywhere near offside, no suggestion of it at all was there?

Sky was reporting the same. I don't care though, it says 2-1 in the match report, and we are into the 20 point club in the table. Heady days!!

The only half that Teckers was when he headed the ball across was the in the middle of two Saints players. The goals are on Palace TV which can be found on the official Palace site. It's free to register if you want to watch them.

Yeah I remember him being in a bunch of Southampton players, no way he was offside, just the Guardian's normal anti Palace bias, they've never particularly liked us, I think it sticks in their craw that we're forcing them to say nice things about us at the moment. Cheers mate.

The BBC wrote that Benteke was "arguably" offside. I've watched the goal over and over and he's level with the defender in front of him (camera side) ad there's a defender behind him. No way was he offside. There were also no appeals from Soton. It's just another example of the media wanting to inject controversy where there is none. It goes bvk to Jimmy Hill saying that his job as a commentator was to inject controversy so that the broadcast was more "interesting."

There were clear offsides - in my opinion - in other games on MotD last night that weren't given. On the contrary, it never crossed my mind that CB was even close to offside.

The offside rule has become a farce anyhow. It used to be that one's wife would be unable to explain the offside rule, but I think that has now extended to oneself.

Maybe not the right thread to say this but having just read the Saints web on last night's game they are in meltdown and are baying for Pelegrino's head. Were we really in for him or did he turn us down in favour of them? Looks like we were saved from certain relegation.
