Very impressed with Roy's management skills, tactics and substitutions and what he has got out of the squad as a whole, not just the star players. Did it all work out for the best? Was Allardyce's resignation and De Boer's disastrous spell a blessing in disguise?

De Boer was the kind of blessing you get from a flying pig if it decides to have a dump as it passes overhead.

Remember all the hand wringers joining in with the pundits saying we are a joke of a club because Mr Parish recognized his mistake in appointing Frank? I know we are not out of the woods yet but my goodness his bold decision and seeing his mistake early has given us a chance.

I also remember the nay sayers talking about Roy's age and what happened with England. I've seen very few saying they were horribly wrong.

Roy and the squad, the whole squad are a credit to themselves and thereby to us. That never say die attitude which was the mark of the team/club going back to the 60's when Roy started his career with us shines through. Oh and as child of the late 50s early 60's I love 442 attack like eagles, defend like a wall, like the Great Johns of yore.

Fair play to Roy, he's done a fantastic job and been a complete gentleman about it. Edited by Forest Hillbilly (03 Jan 2018 8.41am)
