From twitter not sure wether reliable :- Vicente Guaita has a contract with Getafe’s president to sell the goalkeeper if an offer of €4m or more is submitted. Crystal have, but Getafe still rejected. Both Guaita and Crystal Palace are willing to go to court about this matter. [AS]

Surely this would have been picked up before a bid would have been made. Unless he's No1 target and they really, really want him they should move on. Just wasting time. Palace history indicates this will drag on and on, it will break down 24hours before deadline day.

Because strictly speaking it is illegal for a club to speak to an agent or player before a bid is agreed to by the owning club. It counts as tapping up a player. Agent cannot make the details of his clients contract known until the selling club agree to let him talk to the buying club. Edited by Mwncisee (12 Jan 2018 11.09am)
