This young player will command quite a wage and at the moment I suspect Chelsea are paying up to 90% of it. Can Palace compete in that part of the game?

Cabayes wage will be of find the books at the end of the season unless he signs an extension, if he doesn't then there's wages there which would easily cover his.

But yes he's on a fair wack for such a young player considering the limited time he's played.

Might be a reason why Chelsea let him go if they do...

But would we really be paying only 10% of his wages? see if we can just extend his loan if they are!

Been a great player for us and definitely a class act. However, one thing my mate and I have noticed is that on the ball he’s class but not so much off the ball. Also, has an ongoing injury with his back I believe. Would a top 6 team take the risk? Needs game time to continue to reach his potential so I could see him joinin is (if Chelsea allow it), then go to a bigger side when he’s older, could even see Chelsea having a first refusal clause.

At this point in time I would say Palace and RLC are on a par with each other.
Both improved dramatically under Roy. Both got lots of room for improvement and both have good potential.
My view is he is very well suited at Selhurst and should do at least another season with us. How about a price of say £10M with a 50/50 split on any uplift should we sell him?
p.s. he could do with improving his shooting outside the area and then do more of it. If that worked he would fly up to £15M very quickly.

You have got to be dreaming at £10m, England International bags of potential anywhere north of £25m minimum.

More importantly, the small matter of Chelsea making it crystal clear that they have no intention whatsoever of selling RLC to us.

Baffling to me that Chelsea would sign Barkley while they have RLC. Just stockpiling those players - maybe we'll be able to loan RLC again next season!

This is what Chelsea do; e.g. they put Moses out on loan after loan, but now he's a regular feature in their squad. They likely have the same plan for RLC, in which case the signing of Barkley now has little meaning to their development plans for Ruben.

It also means that RLC is unlikely to be available as Chelsea will take him back and then loan him out again.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.
