Something that had bothered me in the past is the lack of support from some fans around the FA cup.
I think we should field as strong a team as possible on Monday, after all the cup is the only thing we have a chance of winning this season (every season).

Roy was quite clear at Friday's press conference that he would be making injury enforced changes and would not be risking players returning from injury, also that he was aware of the rumours that he would be putting out the U23 team and that these were not correct.

Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing!

Completely secondary to staying in the Premier. Therefore have to field the appropriate team. Do not need a cup run, different if we had a bigger squad.

We need to beat the scumbags at all costs, cant give them even an ounce of bragging rights...Furthermore just imagine if they went on to win the bloody thing

doesn't bear thinking about!!...Ditch it in the next round if we have to

Apparently Hughton's said the same about "not playing the U23's"

Wouldn't be at all surprised if RH & CH have had a quiet word about trying to make the game as meaningful for both sides so as to be useful to both managers - without exposing too much risk.

(ie. if one side plays U23's & the other fields their fringe 1st team squad players then it's really a mismatch which no one learns anything from).

Have to agree as having achieved 22 points from last 15 games and citeh out of way for season surely we will pick up 22 plus in last 16 games .Assuming this we will be mid table mid to end Feb and nothing to play for from March onwards. The weed are a premier league side not div 1 or 2 so surely we need a strong side to progress and continue the not losing mentality now in the team and fans.

Strongest team possible for me unless carrying knocks etc. But we are on a good run and just need to keep it going. We see all the time resting half the team and not getting the result from the next game, surely we get more team / fan moral with a performance and victory. Come on Palace

We have coped admirably during the busy xmas fixtures. Unless theres anybody who can't recover for Burnley on Saturday then put out a strong team. We are on a roll playing well, lets keep it going ... momentum is everything.

Give Cabaye, Zaha, injuryproned Tomkins and Luka a rest, then hopefully pick one or two among the young guns. For me is FA Cup this season way down the pecking order!

Well the U23's have just kicked off with Phillips, Kirby, Lumeka, Lokilo and Ladapo starting ...so they wont be playing tonight.

Hungbo though is on the bench interestingly...

Wilf or Andros should get a rest and drop Sullay in the mix, he needs more 1st team action and has a lot to give and prove..!

Like us to have a strongish bench so if it it still tight after 70 mins to chuck on a couple of potential match winners. Win the match in 20 mins. Arsenal made the mistake of not doing this yesterday. COYP!!

That takes Kirby out of my first suggested team then. All the others are in contention though. Maybe add Jimmy Mac in midfield.
