Actually Middlesbrough is one of the easiest clubs for the team to get to with direct flights from Heathrow to Middlesbrough Airport

From Heathrow... which means travelling around the M25 good luck with that!!

I must be one of the blind, been supporting Palace for over 60 years, seen more games than you have hot dinners, BUT delighted we are out of the FA cup, the league is far more important, even if we got to the final, it would probably mean relegation.

Totally agree, although normally I am a big supporter of the FA Cup. Been supporting Palace for 57 years Cup always important but unfortunately this year (sign of the times) survival is most important

Actually the fact that the goal stood did not prove that the decision was correct. It only shows that it wasn't blatantly wrong.

The article is the usual anti-Palace bollocks, the journalist has no idea what was said to or by the ref nor has he a clue what losing a cup-tie to a goal in the 86th minute feels like.

Would he have written the same if it were Manchester United? Doesn't Rooney do this every time he plays? What did City do when we won a pen against them?

Pathetic.

Spot on. Until we get to hear the conversations (like rugby) who knows. Did Marriner actually ask about handball or was he asking just about offside. How did VAR make a decision that quickly? If this is introduced fans need more information. I am of the opinion the the refs "union" stick together and would not overturn a decision of one of their own. Furthermore the decision to refer rests with the match official.. can this be right/

The game has made me re-evaluate the rival we have with them to be honest.

Agreed, I'm still fuming. A shocking performance against that mob who weren't brilliant anyway, a complete lack of creativity. Completely surrendered the midfield. Unfortunately last night feels like the start of the death of the rivalry with that mob only selling 12k tickets and us struggling to sell out 2k. Embarrassing for both teams after the hype the rivalry was getting when they were promoted. Still, losing to them hurts.

3pts from the league clash much more important than a run in cup.....

Not happy we lost to "them" but given the draw and the fact that the squad will now get a week off which will help with tiedness and injuries it's not as bad as it could be.

Seeing as the correct decision was reached, as there was no handball and no offside, why are people still getting their knickers in a twist over it. Better still complain about the statues masquerading as central defenders on the night.
Referring back to the article, I do think the condemnation of our players was a bit strong as they acted no differently to any other team when they lose, but this churlish behaviour is too prevalent in footballers generally.

It seems the ancient rivalry is a thing of the past perhaps? We’ve had bigger fish to fry. West Ham? For me Chelsea, but that’s because I live by Stamford Bridge and hate them anyway. As someone who was brought up in and around Brighton I was always a little detached from it.
