The U23s played yesterday too. Two games in a day is asking a bit much.

Should have pulled them out of the U23 match & played them last night; thinking Kirby, Lokilo, Wan-Bissaka, Phillips, Tavares. Or at least stick 3 on the bench and bring them on; what ever the score. Consequences of not doing so are now they might have to play a prem game without having been in the first team before.. hopefully nerves will be ok but you never know until actually playing; hope any that do get called up don't get stage fright.

I am in two minds on this. I did want us to win last night and thought we had a good enough balance to give us a chance. We could have been a decent cup side.

But I was surprised so few U23s were used, surely we had others in the wings to take over the U23 game.

I have no idea whether that squad has the depth to replace that many but Wan-Bissaka and Kaikai were on the bench, one of which came on.

I wanted us to win, but a lot of injuries already...

You have to question the clubs training methods and warm up/warm down. A lot of our injuries are from pulls/strains rather than bad tackles....

Puncheon, Dann, Schlupp - all from tackles. Townsend's and RLC's aren't a pull/strain either.

Given the right tools, I'm sure he could have a crack at it.

There are plenty of right tools on HOL, Dave.

The scourge of modern football and modern sport.
We have pushed levels to such a level its inevitable.
Where will it all end?
God only knows

Not good at all. At least Schlupp's position is well-covered but our attack is non-existent if you take away Zaha.
